Have YOU the right attitude?: Recruitment and Disability - A great success!

The WAM Programme at AHEAD organised a free training event hosted by Dell Software Group in Mahon, Cork on Thurs February 27th entitled ‘Have YOU the right attitude?: Recruitment and Disability’.
This training event focused on the area of recruitment and disability and explored some commonly held attitudes towards students and graduates with disabilities entering the workplace.
The event, featuring ex Irish International Rugby player David Corkery, was a fantastic success - so much so that it was covered with two full page picture spreads in Cork's Evening Echo. View the spreads here and here.
The event covered 5 topics including commonly held beliefs towards dyslexic, deaf and mental health candidates, reasonable accommodations and disclosure. Each topic was presented by a guest speaker followed by an interactive discussion.
