Better Options 2018 - College Fair for Students with Disabilities

This year's Better Options college fair for students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties will take place in The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI),123 St. Stephen's Green, York Street, Dublin 2 on Monday 19th of November 2018 from 10:00 to 13.30.

This college fair is an ideal event for students with disabilities considering their post leaving cert educational options.  Attendees will be able to talk to staff from college support services to gather key information about courses and access routes open to those with disabilities and specific learning difficulties, including how to make an application to DARE- Disability Access Route to Education. Colleges nationwide will be represented in the exhibition hall and talks will run concurrently, covering topics such as DARE and some key preparatory tips for entering college. 

Date: 19th November 2018

Time: 10:00 - 13:30

Venue: The Exam Hall, 123 St. Stephen’s Green, York Street, Dublin 2. 

Cost: Free

Registration: No need to register, just come down on the day!

12:00 - 12:20    Into College and What’s There For You!

Get information about what to expect when you first enter college and find out how to make the best of your college experience by getting involved in all aspects of campus life and ensuring you get the support you need.

12:30 - 12:50    Into College and Out of Home

Student housing is difficult to find. This session will lay out the different options available to you and give you some tips to find a place on budget!
