Information Session: Digital Badge in UDL

We are delighted to announce that the free online UDL Badge Course will be running again this October 2022. We warmly welcome interested participants to a one-hour information session on the 30th of May, that will impart key information about the UDL badge and what it entails.

The Information session will tell you about the course and its objectives. We encourage staff in Further and Higher Education, the the Republic of Ireland, to begin their UDL exploration in this course where we will guide and support you over 10 weeks. UDL is a framework and a mindset, that you can apply to your practice and throughout the course we guide you through the framework that informs an activity that you design for your context.

Information Session: On the 30th of May we will hold a UDL Badge Information Session on Zoom from 14.00 - 15.00 in Zoom. Register and come along and we can answer any questions you may have about the course.

Points that will be delivered during the session, will involve the following:

What: Free 10 week introductory course on Universal Design for Learning running groups simultaneously for Irish HE and FET staff.

Available to: Strictly for staff currently working in Higher Education or Further Education and Training in the Republic of Ireland. Places allocated on a first come first served basis. Participants must have some teaching activity planned during week 5-9 that they can work on as part of the UDL Redesign Activity (can be individual class, group of classes, training session or assignment - flexible). Book quickly to avoid disappointment.

When: The course runs from Oct 3rd - Dec 12th. General registration opens Aug 22nd and the link will be in Eventbrite - first come, first served.

In the meantime you can register your interest for the course in this Teaching and Learning webpage.

Course Information: This Autumn, AHEAD and UCD Access & Lifelong Learning are teaming up to jointly deliver the Digital Badge for Universal Design in Teaching and Learning once again in a fully online format. This digital badge course, hosted by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning, will provide participants with a strong introduction to the Universal Design for Learning Framework and give them the opportunity to implement UDL approaches within the teaching activities they are currently undertaking.

This year we are teaming up with previously trained UDL badge facilitators to offer this course to 1,000+ participants simultaneously in FET and HE. So sign up to be a part of this growing Irish UDL community.
