Creating inclusive environments in education & employment for people with disabilities.

AHEAD are aiming to develop an online, self-directed course which will introduce staff in further and higher education to the core concepts of universal design for learning and to advise on where to start with UDL adaptations. This 2-hour short course comes as the next in our Ark series (accessibility resources and know-how) and will act as a precursor to the 10-week UDL Digital Badge course. We are hoping to capture your insights and suggestions as to what are the most important topics to be covered in this new course.

The aim of the course is to help people make the first step of their UDL journey - thereby building capacity in your organisation. We want to identify challenges, opportunities, policies and practices relevant to different stages of the UDL implementation. We're holding 1 hour consultation sessions with a short input from AHEAD followed by plenty of discussion opportunities. The session will be repeated on three dates to maximise your chance of attending (you need only attend once).

UDL Short Course Consultation Sessions - Please register only for one

This will be an excellent chance to connect with others in the UDL community and to compare experiences and approaches. We'll be exploring the possibility of following up for short case studies/video interviews after these sessions.

We'd love this session to have practical benefits for attendees so if you have examples of resources you or your colleagues have designed with UDL in mind please bring and share.

If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, then please feel free to fill in this online form that has 10 questions.

It will take approximately 6 minutes to fill in. This will also help us to inform the needs and content of a short UDL course that would introduce UDL.
