On the day we will have a CV Clinic which is a fantastic opportunity for you to get your CV 'examined' by one of our employers also known as a CV Doctor!
What do they look at?
Firstly, you must bring a copy of your CV on the day which you don't mind getting scribbled on! The employer will have a look at your CV, give you feedback on the layout, the formatting, whether you can structure your CV better to make it more attractive. They will also give you honest and relevant feedback on the content of your CV and will be able to offer you advice as to how to word the content better. It is also very useful to also have a notepad and pen handy, where you can take notes throughout.
How do I book for the CV Clinic?
You do not need to register in advance for a appointment at the CV Clinic, they are made on the day itself. When you arrive at Building The Future, go to the CV Clinic station and make your appointment with the volunteers at a time that suits you. These sessions are really popular so be sure to book early on the day.
How long is the CV Clinic?
All appointments are for 20 minutes and on a very strict time schedule, so please arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment, there is a waiting area in the CV Clinic and you will be called to your station by one of our volunteers.
