The WAM Programme at AHEAD are delighted to be having an in-person employer event focused on assessment and testing in recruitment and looking at the barriers that may present for people with disabilities and what other alternatives including reasonable accommodations can be put in place.
Venue: NTMA (National Treasury Management Agency), Treasury Dock, North Wall Quay Dublin.

Event information
With nearly 18,000 students with disabilities currently enrolled in higher education, equating to 6.6% of the total student population, is your company sure that your recruitment practices are accessible and inclusive to this untapped pool of future talent? This event will look at the use of assessments and testing practices in recruitment and what this can mean for potential candidates with disabilities. Topics to be covered include:
- Psychometric Tests
- Assessment Centres
- Group Interviews
- Reasonable Accommodations
The event provides an opportunity to share your organisation’s practices and concerns whilst learning from other employers and getting practical advice in relation to assessment procedures.
The format of the day will include a panel discussion made up of representation from a WAM employer, a testing company based in Ireland working in this space and a professional academic in this field of study. The panel discussion will be followed by a breakout room session for attendees to discuss a related topic and feedback to the main group. The day will complete with lunch and an opportunity to network.

The target audience for this event is staff working in HR, Graduate Programme Managers and Diversity and Inclusion staff from our WAM employers and new employers interested in working with WAM in the future.
