Each presentation during the Lightning Session will be six minutes, using a maximum of six slides. These rapid fire presentations will serve as a great introduction to projects, resources and approaches to inclusive education design across the sector.

Trinity Employability: Disability Inclusion Pathway

The ‘Disability Inclusion Pathway’ is a pilot initiative run by the Disability Service in Trinity in collaboration with the Careers Service to respond to the needs of students with disabilities and their transition to employment. The first pathway course commenced in September 2021 with a group of 35 students.

Ready, Steady, Work Career Programme for Disabled Students

Ready Steady Work is a careers programme to support DSS students developed MTU Cork DSS and Careers. Ready Steady Work addresses the needs and challenges experienced DSS students, and prepares participants for future work, as well as building confidence and skills in applying for jobs and performing at work placement or graduate interviews.

Dream To Drive – A Technology Enhanced Learning Experience in Driver Safety

Inadequate public transport solutions often pose a barrier for people with disabilities to access opportunities. National Learning Network, Mullingar listening to the needs of students, introduced a pioneering project aimed at building students’ safety awareness and confidence to drive using a driving simulator. One student shares his Dream to Drive.
