Waterford City and County Council (Comhairle Cathrach agus Contae Phort Láirge) is the authority responsible for local government in the City & County of Waterford, Ireland. The organisation came into operation on 1st June 2014 after that year's local elections, and is a merger of Waterford City Council and Waterford County Council. The mission of Waterford City & County Council is to make Waterford the best possible place for all its people and for those that wish to live, visit, work or invest here.
The role is for 6 months and will be located within the Finance and Procurement Department.
Summary of Role Duties and Responsibilities
The graduate will be assigned to the Finance/Procurement Department in Waterford City and County Council.

Key duties of the post will depend on agreed role but will potentially include:
Procurement:
- Reviewing and Updating information on the eTenders Platform.
- Reviewing and Updating information on the CRM ProcRef/Contract Modules.
- Assisting with Purchase Card applications and system updates.
- Assisting with review and updates on the procurement portal.
- Follow up on procurement frameworks.
- System Development potentially including implementation of a new Contract Management module.
Finance:
- Accounts Receivable.
- Accounts Payable.
- Financial Accounting.
- Management Accounting.
- System development.
Systems Deployed include:
- eTenders, SupplyGov
- CRM
- MS Office (Word/excel/PowerPoint)
- MS7
- Ascendas. Etc.
