Research and Policy Officer - AHEAD

AHEAD is now recruiting a Research and Policy Officer to join its team.
The Research and Policy Officer will coordinate and conduct research and policy activities across the education and employment teams in AHEAD. They will work with the CEO to identify key research and policy priorities concerning the inclusion of students with disabilities in further education and training (FET) and higher education (HE) environments, and graduates with disabilities in employment.
This is a new role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that AHEAD’s work is evidence-informed and that all staff are aware of both research findings and the key legal/policy developments.
They will also be responsible for coordinating policy submissions to state agencies and government departments and recommending priority areas to the senior leadership team. They will gather quantitative and qualitative data to inform these submissions, through both desk-based research, and consultation with AHEAD stakeholders such as staff in educational institutions, employers, students, and graduates.
