Video Examples of UDL in FET

Below are video presentations taken from different sources of practitioners featured in the UDL for FET project. They show in 10 minutes or under how some practitioners in the field are applying UDL and related practices and can provide inspiration for your own UDL implementations.

Helena Farrell - Kinsale College - Engagement Focus

Video Context: This video was taken at  the final of AHEAD's John Kelly Award for Universal Design in Teaching and Learning 2019. It details a UDL implementation Helena undertook as part of her participation in the Digital Badge for Universal Design in Teaching and Learning. Her work had a special focus on the principle of providing multiple means of engagement. 

 

Dave Mulvaney - Crumlin Youthreach - Representation Focus

Video Context: This video was taken at  the UDL for FET Summer School 2020. It details how Dave applied UDL in his math classes and how he uses technology to provide options for understanding for his learners.

Jennifer Lynch - Marino College - Action and Expression Focus

Video Context: This video was taken at  the final of AHEAD's John Kelly Award for Universal Design in Teaching and Learning 2020. Video Context: This video was produced by GRETB and showcases Carpentry and Joinery instructor Mike Downes showing how he has used technology to give his learners options in how they engage with, understand and express their learning. This video highlights how Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) practice can support practitioners to implement elements of UDL.
