AHEAD Annual Report 2024 Now Available!
AHEAD are delighted to release their annual report for 2024 which details the organisations activities and finances during that period.
The report reflects AHEAD's commitment to strengthening networks across further and higher education and across the public and private employment sectors in order to sustain and develop the organisation and achieve our mission.
Key highlights from the year include:
- Over 3,000 participants across 38 in-person and online AHEAD events delivered across the organisation.
- Over 60,000 views on AHEAD's YouTube channel with 79 new videos added to the channel in 2024.
- Over 1,600 individuals benefiting from 65 direct tailored training sessions delivered to organisations nationally.
- 1,002 digital badges awarded nationally for participation in the UDL Badge and UD Beyond the Classroom Badges - a partnership with UCD and the HEA's National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning.
- 49 paid and mentored disabled graduate work placements supported through WAM, our paid, mentored work placement programme.
- Development of a new self-directed short course on Reasonable Accommodations & Needs Assessment developed through AHEAD's ARK course platform.
- 6 new AHEAD research reports/publications published directly by AHEAD or in collaboration with our partners.
- Playing an important role as Lead National Collaborator in the development of ALTITUDE - the National Charter for Universal Design in Tertiary Education, which was launched in March 2024.
- Significant progress made in the development of the Widening Inclusion of Disability in Employment (WIDE) Framework, which began in 2023.
