Better Options 2019: How to Get There

Venue: The Conference Centre, Marino Institute of Education, Griffith Ave., Clontarf, Dublin, D09 R232

Getting there and Parking:

 

  • Train: The closest train station to the venue is Clontarf Road (stop after Connolly Station if you're coming from the city centre), the college is a 25-minute walk from there or you can get a 123 Dublin Bus to the Marino bus stop (this takes approx. 20 minutes).
  • Dublin Bus has a bus stop nearby which is served regularly near Marino Institute of Education, The 123 bus operates from Griffith Avenue (just outside the college) to and from the city centre (stop to go to Marino is outside Penney's on O'Connell Street).   • Taxi: There is a taxi rank located at Heuston Station, Connolly Stations, Busaras and several points across the city which can bring you to the venue. For more information: https://bit.ly/2xUYdUD
  • Cycling: There are no Dublin Bike docks near the college however if you wish to bring your own bike, the college in approximately a 15-minute cycle from Connolly Station. 
  • Walking: It is approximately a 40-minute walk to Marino Institute of Education from Connolly Station.
  • LUAS Tramline: The nearest LUAS stop to get to the college is Abbey Street, then go to O'Connell Street where you can get a 123 bus to Griffith Avenue (bus journey takes approx. 20 minutes and travels regularly to and from the city centre). 
  • Driving:   (A) From M50: After the WestLink toll on the M50, drive towards the Airport.  Take Exit 3 onto the M1.  Drive on the M1 toward City Centre, and after the Regency Hotel (on your left-hand side) take the next left turn onto Griffith Avenue.  At the fourth set of traffic lights on Griffith Avenue, take a left into Charlemont Estate, and the entrance to Marino Institute of Education is on your right. (B) At the Airport, take the M1 southbound towards City Centre.  Do not take the Tunnel.  Drive on the M1 toward City Centre, and after the Regency Hotel (on your left-hand side) take the next left turn onto Griffith Avenue.  At the fourth set of traffic lights on Griffith Avenue, take a left into Charlemont Estate, and the entrance to Marino Institute of Education is on your right. (C)  From Dublin City Centre -From the top of O'Connell Street, drive past Parnell Square to the Drumcondra Road.  Follow signs for the Airport. After the Skylon Hotel, (left-hand side), take a right at the next large crossroads onto Griffith Avenue.  At the fourth set of traffic lights on Griffith Avenue, take a left into Charlemont Estate, and the entrance to Marino Institute of Education is on your right.
  • Parking: There are a number of spaces available on the day of the event in Marino Institute of Education which are subject to availability.
