Conference: Dyslexia 2010 Challenges and Perspectives in Higher Education - presentations available
The conference examined current challenges in higher education from a range of perspectives: national policy, the latest research into Dyslexia, teaching and learning best practice and the student experience.
The inclusion of students who learn differently is no longer new in higher education. The challenge remains for institutions to respond to the learning needs of students with dyslexia while also assuring the academic rigor of courses. In order to change practices it is important to understand how the condition affects the student in an educational setting.
This conference was an opportunity to collectively explore how the varied perspectives interact and to understand their capacity to shape the learning of the future.
