Consultation Day: National Guidelines for Working with Nursing and Midwifery Students with a Disability in Clinical Practice

The consultation day will take the form of a world cafe day and will involve contributing your learning, experience and views to many conversations. Presentations on current developments, the legal context and the experience of the student will contribute to the day. The output will be practical guidelines in the form of a publication/ toolkit that will work for both nursing staff and students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties.

Who should attend the consultation?

This event is open to all interested parties including, Nurses and Midwives who support students in clinical practice: Preceptors, Clinical Practice Co-ordinators, SALO's, Practice Development Co-ordinators, Nurse/Midwife Managers and Students.

Students and Nurse Educators are encouraged and welcome to present their work/learning/experience on this theme at a poster session.
