The War for Talent is Back On
Dear Santa,
All I want for Christmas... is improved opportunities for our graduates, a good hire and to diversify our recruitment - oh and a surprise!
Date: 1st December 2016
Time: 10am - 1pm
Location: The National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin 2
The war for talent is back on and there is a change in graduate recruitment. However some recruiters may fail to notice that what they have done before is now proving to be unhelpful. There are changes in higher education, student expectations and in the workplace, yet we adhere to the same recruitment practices when considering the transition from education to employment for the more diverse student.
This is an event that will bring together thinkers and experts on students today, employability and the diversity involved in graduate recruitment - to share what they see happening on the ground. Practical ideas are guaranteed and attendees will be enriched (and entertained) in their thinking and work.
Topics will include;
- Are employers and graduates with disabilities ready to engage with each other?
- Barriers of psychometric testing
- WAM Mentoring Model
- Are HEIs preparing graduates for the real world of work?
- Good practices in recruitment
This event is being organised with the kind support of Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
Lunch will be provided to attendees followed by AHEAD's AGM.
If you are interested in attending, please email wam@ahead.ie as there are limited places available.
