Calling all students with disabilities - Invitation to attend Guess who’s coming to dinner?
Do you want to meet John Murray (RTÉ), Dermot O’Sullivan (BOI), Lucy Fallon Byrne(NCPP), Caroline Carswell (IrishDeafKids.com), Dr Constantin Gurdgiev (TCD) amongst others?
AHEAD are very pleased to invite a select number of students with disabilities to this dinner which is part of an exciting event in the Kilmainham Hilton Hotel, Dublin on Thursday 25th & Friday 26th November. Dinner on Thursday will be followed by a world café discussion on Friday. We want to know what’s happening for students right now. We are looking for ambassadors, a student with a disability from every third level college in Ireland, to share their thoughts and experiences. You will discuss questions such as,
“What would make your education amazing?
Will your education get you the job you dream of?”
Then why not take the opportunity to sit down and have dinner with them? You will have the chance to gain an insight into their careers, and learn from their experiences.
Understanding how we can make education better for students with disabilities will hopefully ensure that you can have the same opportunities as your peers, to access and succeed in college and in work. Understanding this means listening to YOU!
