Then you will be interested in attending our Train the Trainer Seminar in Quality Note-Taking for students with disabilities in third level education
This seminar is a unique opportunity for staff working in Disability Support Services and student support to update their skills and share their expertise with colleagues on providing a quality academic Note-Taking Service to students with disabilities in third level education.
This train the trainer session will take a very practical and comprehensive approach to Note-taking and will provide information and training in:
- The role of the note-taker
- Note-taking conventions
- Layout and styles
- Subject specific language
- Lecture styles
- Inter-personal skills
- Communication
- Typical problems and solutions
At the end of the session attendees will be equipped with the tools and documents to deliver training of note-takers (and students) in their institution.
The seminar is organised in partnership with Trinity College and will be delivered by Jennifer Maxwell, Trinity College Disability Support Services.

Directions to Venue: Enter the Nassau Street Entrance (to be found opposite Dawson Street) to Trinity College. Turn to your right into the Arts Block, and you will immediately see a security desk/ reception inside the door way. Behind this desk, on the back wall there is a lift. Take it to the 6th floor, and as you exit the lift please follow the signs to the Institute of International Integration Studies (IIIS) (down a long corridor!)
